Forming Activites
The Forming stage is characterized by team members getting to know each other and establishing initial relationships. Activities in this stage focus on creating a safe environment where team members can introduce themselves and begin to discover shared interests.
Back-to-Back Build
Runtime: 10 minutes
Preptime: Minimal
Materials: LEGO
Description: Students work in pairs, sitting back to back. One person builds a Lego structure in two minutes without showing it to the other. Then, the second person uses the same Legos to recreate it, guided only by the description given by the first person in three minutes. Finally, they compare their structures to see if they match. It's like a Lego challenge without looking! (Make sure not to look at the other person's lego while they are describing).

Organization Matters!
Runtime: 5 minutes
Preptime: None
Materials: None Needed
Description: Students work together to form a line in either descending or ascending order of their birthdays (month and day).

Reason for Doing It: This team builder allows the teammates to get to know each other better and to learn everyone's birthdays, while building familiarity.
Modifications: No talking while forming the lines, arrange by year along with month and date. It can be any topic other than birthday, for example the height of your favorite animal, how far you were born from the location you currently are, and more!

Reason for Doing It: A good icebreaker, helps with learning people's names and a simple hobby of theirs.
2 Truths and a Lie
Runtime: 5-15 minutes
Preptime: None
Materials: None Needed
Description: Different students tell another 2 truths and lie about themselves, and the person who told them has to guess which one is the lie.
Reason for Doing It: Helps students learn more about each other.
Deck of Cards
Runtime: Varies
Preptime: Minimal
Materials: One Standard deck of cards
Description: A deck of cards is distributed between everyone, after distribution everyone should have 4 cards. People will try to find somebody else with the same card. Once they meetup with somebody with the same card, they will exchange a fact about themselves and the card. The goal of this game is to get 4 cards that are the same.
Reason for Doing It: It gives everyone facts about each other, and this causes a starting point for interpersonal relationships.
Equidistant
Runtime: 10 minutes
Preptime: None
Materials: None
Description: In this activity, each person secretly selects two individuals to maintain an equal distance from. It's important not to reveal your choices through talking or gestures. As everyone aims to achieve the same goal, it will take a while for the entire team to find their equidistant positions.
Reason for Doing It: This building will increase familiarity and allow for team members to recognize each other and get to know one another.
Modifications: One person organizes the team to be in the right position based on who they choose as their two people, or one person chooses the two people for everyone so they can be organized.
